Using the Watermaker DMCA Policy to report a concern
Email hello@watermaker.app with a clear subject such as “Copyright concern.” The Watermaker project handles this contact channel. We do not claim to be Instagram’s copyright department or to have a registered statutory agent merely because this page is titled DMCA Policy.
Information that helps us assess a report
- Your name and a working reply contact, and whether you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- A clear identification of the protected work or works.
- The public Instagram URL and the Watermaker page or request information connected with the concern, if known.
- A description of the use you believe is unauthorised and why you believe you can make the report.
- Any supporting information needed to locate and understand the issue.
Do not include passwords, verification codes or session cookies. Send only personal information reasonably needed for the report. Requirements for a formal statutory notice may depend on the applicable process and jurisdiction; this practical checklist is not a guarantee that every legal requirement is met.
What this service does with media
Watermaker works with individual public links and short-lived preparation or transfer files. It does not offer a permanent public catalogue of downloaded works or a personal account archive. Expiry does not prevent us from assessing a report about how the service was used or a source that should not be processed.
After reviewing the available information, we may restrict a relevant source or use, remove material under our control where appropriate, or request clarification. We do not promise a fixed legal outcome or response deadline that has not been established.
Accuracy and related requests
Make reports in good faith and explain your authority accurately. If a restriction affects your own material and you believe it was applied in error, use the same email channel with the relevant details. Avoid sending unnecessary identity documents in an initial message.
For a file-saving issue, use support instead. The Terms and Privacy Policy explain acceptable use and data handling.
